Guest olionair Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 does it BSOD on 1.06 with CWM 2.5.1.8 when you change usb mode?
Guest Lennyuk Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 does it BSOD on 1.06 with CWM 2.5.1.8 when you change usb mode? not really a need for this to have a thread on its own I have heard no reports of it happening.
Guest olionair Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 Same here. 1) Installed Higgsy's rom over on XDA via .exe. 2) Configured a bit. 3) Installed Higgsy's ClockWork Mod via .exe. 4) Rebooted in to CWmod and ran a backup. 5) Configured some more. 6) Ran USB mode switch to Host, and reboot = BSOD I then re-installed the ROM, CW, restored a backup, configured everything but USB host, ran another backup. I have not tried USB Host again yet. NOTE: Same basic thing happened when I first installed 1.06 and r6, but then it was fine for weeks with CWmod. Only 2 BSOD's ever in 2 months of use with CWmod, but it still sucks when it does happen. Build seems anything but sluggish to me. Faster then ever. I never had the performance pack though.
Guest olionair Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 *********************************WARNING**************************************** I'd installed latest CWM, everything was working fine, I tried USB mode switch and BAM!!! BSOD Reflashed 1.08 kernel at the moment and will be putting r6 onto it without PP but looks like the mode switch combined with CWM crashed it. All other reboots upto then had been fine. Glenn. Edit: It's just taken me an hour to put it back together again, thank my paranoia for full titanium backups and practice. Seems a bit sluggish compared to the previous build, I'll probably rebuild properly when I get back from the South Coast, I'm off to a con this weekend until Monday, hence the rush to put it back together again.
Guest trevor432990 Posted January 28, 2011 Report Posted January 28, 2011 Oli I think Lenny is right you should have just added your question to the thread you are now quoting from otherwise things become rather dis-jointed and difficult to follow
