Guest shaddy666 Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 Hi guys very sorry if this as been asked before, but I don`t really know what to do.I am pretty new to android and today I got my new vega.First impressions were very good, quick, nice screen etc.I tried out a few things, got market and flash working and installed angry birds which played very well.I switched off the vega at 88% battery and went and had my tea, came back about 40 minutes later switched on vega and battery was down to 52%.Any ideas please ? Martin

Martin Hi Martin .... I suggest you use the forum search facility for 'battery' as there are a number of tips about the battery already. Firstly the actual battery level can take a while to register so when you first turn it on it may have said 88% but if you look again in 3 minutes it might say considerably less (or more if you charged it recently). There is a useful thread about removing telephony software to save wasted standby battery usage. Finally when you say you turned it off you probably meant into standby whereas if you really want to save battery you should keep the power button pressed for > 6 seconds then reboot when you want to use it again. Good luck
Guest shaddy666 Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 Thanks alot for the reply mate,I think because it is new I was just worried about it  I will spend the time and have a good look around this great forum and see what I can do. Martin
Guest shaddy666 Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 I have just checked what the battery use details are and Device Standby is 77% should it be this high ?
Guest trevor432990 Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 (edited) I have just checked what the battery use details are and Device Standby is 77% should it be this high ? Yes it normally is the highest consumer for some reason that's why I followed the thread to remove it as it is used by the telephony module which is defunct in the Vega anyway. Give removing the module yourself a go and see how you get on  Edited January 28, 2011 by trevor432990
