Limit to number of POIs displayed in My Maps?

Hi All,

I've been creating some POI maps in Google's "My Maps" using KML files downloaded from the likes of Tesco, ASDA, Wetherspoons, etc. and it would appear that there is a limit to the number of locations in any of these maps that my phone will display (300). For example, the Tesco map has around 1500 stores in it which can all be displayed on the PC version of Google Maps, although they are spread over several pages. When the same file is enabled on my phone (Orange San Francisco running the Japanese Jellyfish RLS4 Lite ROM) I can see what looks like 100 of them. If I select list view it says 100 of 1000 and scrolling to the bottom of the list prompts the phone to pull in another 100 but this eventually stops at 300.

Does anyone know if this is a hard limit (to save memory maybe?) or whether it can be changed. I guess the alternative is to split large KML files into multiple smaller ones that contain less locations but that's a bit of a pain.

Definitely a limit of 300 as I just tried with a couple of other map files and one containing 97 loads and displays all of them but another that contains around 794 only loads up to 300!
