Guest Sasimikun Posted January 28, 2011 Report Posted January 28, 2011 I can get to a Swiss Blade, but I'm (still) worrying about the screen. That youtube video of a Swiss blade looks really really bad. So I'm asking all Swiss Blade Owners, how's your screen? As in, dead pixels, errors etc? A picture comparing it to an other (preferably) ts device would be even better ;) Any other build quality issues are also welcome. PS: You could be wondering why I still wanna get a Blade after all this, well, my i5700 is pissing me off with it's shitty amount of ram.
Guest T3KO Posted January 28, 2011 Report Posted January 28, 2011 I have an Orange Sanfrancisco (Swiss) not the new shiney one. But the screen should be the same for all TFT Blades. No dead pixel or anything. For me the only problem is the case when in a jelly case you should have no problem but without, the backplate is just crap.
Guest Azurren Posted January 28, 2011 Report Posted January 28, 2011 The blade doesn't feel as snappy as the Spica (Even when running 2.1 vs the SFs 2.2) You'll probably notice that, but everything else is better ;)

It's slower than the Spica, I thought the increased amount of ram should compensate for the CPU.

Overall probably the Sf is faster.. It has always bugged me though that whenever I go to update / fix something on my Mums spica all the settings menus open instantly (Same with hitting the home and back buttons).. It is noticeable and a -pang- if you own both ;) You already have a great device, is the RAM really bothering you that much? With blades no longer being OLED I would say that it isn't worth upgrading really Edited January 28, 2011 by Azurren
Guest Xanderwufu Posted January 28, 2011 Report Posted January 28, 2011 I got one dead pixel, but you won't notice it right away, for the screen itself has many more pixels ;)
Guest Rotmann Posted January 29, 2011 Report Posted January 29, 2011 With blades no longer being OLED I would say that it isn't worth upgrading really That's rubbish, my wife has a LCD Blade now after an OLED one and the text is definitely clearer than on my OLED Blade. The OLED does not have exactly 480x800 resolution, because of the pentile matrix (just like the desire, nexus one, SGS). OLED has advantages and disadvantages, after having both of them in front of me it would not matter which one I'd buy.

Just the Spica is also a great phone, granted the screen size and rez is a little less but the camera and processor are much better. It wouldn't really be worth upgrading from a HTC Legend either
