Guest hmcguirk Posted January 29, 2011 Report Posted January 29, 2011 Ive just started to see my phone crash & reboot whenever I try to install/upgrade any app - either from the market, or manually. Yesturday, a Skype upgrade (through the market app) failed, but I think I got an error message in the market app about resources being low. But since then, I dont get any error message when installing or upgrading, it just reboot immediately. I do have A2SD+ installed, and memory, system storage, sd storage, a2sd+ storage all seem to have plenty of space (according to quick system-info app), so I dont understand the error message. I've been on Paul's MCR R11 since it was released, and have upgraded through all Paul's Blade roms since alpha4, with the A2SD+ option selected in the kitchen. Has anyone seen or solved this issue?
Guest Phoenix Silver Posted January 29, 2011 Report Posted January 29, 2011 what apps are in task manager ??
Guest hmcguirk Posted January 29, 2011 Report Posted January 29, 2011 what apps are in task manager ?? Nothing out of the ordinary, as far as I can tell: Gallery Gmail HTC_IME mod Handcent SMS JuiceDefender Launcher Market My Uploads Network Location Quick System Info QuickOffice Settings Skype (even though I just uninstalled it ) Springpad SystemPanel Task Manager The Weather Channel Titanium Backup Updater Voice Dialer adbWireless ok, I tried uninstalling Skype again, and another app (Orbot), and both seemed to succeed, but after reboot they were still there. So uninstall not working either. I also noticed that when it did reboot while installing, it seemed to skip the green android logo, or at least, it moved through it faster than usual. It this possible? So... I tried rebooting properly, then I uninstalled Skype again, then rebooted properly again, and this time Skype was gone. I then tried reinstalling another app... it worked... then Skype... it worked too. So a manual reboot, and possibly (but unlikely to me) removing Orbot, seems to have fixed it, for the moment at least. Very strange!
Guest picky123 Posted January 30, 2011 Report Posted January 30, 2011 Have the same problem (MDC11) with the APPs on the ext4 partition (E2SD +), can neither uninstall nor upgrade. Seems to be a permissions problem. After I ClockworkMod Recovery -> advanced -> Permissions Fix everything was normal again with de APPs. Sorry for my bad english ;)
