Hi.

I want to get an Orange San Francisco, but I'm not from UK, I'm from Italy.

If I get one, will it still have the warranty? There are no Orange centers here.

Knowing that mail forwarding is quite expensive (>30€), is it worth buying this phone knowing that if it's damaged or if it gets broken, I can't repair or replace it (unless sending it to UK, >60€)?

This device is also sold by yesss in Austria (150€, supposedly available again by the end of march) as well as by OK,- mobile in Switzerland (115 CHF incl. mandatory SIM card, ~ 90€). In case of warranty, shipping to these countries will probably be much cheaper than to the UK. If you want to play really safe, spending 60€ more in Austria might be woth considering, since it's EU as well, so customer protection laws will probably be similar to Italy.

Well, UK is in EU too, but will they delivery the phone to Italy after an eventual replacement or repair?

There was another thread in the forum asking if it is possible to send the phone by mail from Belgium to UK (where it was bought), and Orange UK said they don't deliver by mail to other countries except UK.

As an alternative, check how far away you are from different countries, that sell the Blade, ex France (Bouygues Telecom/Orange), Austria, Switzerland.

Me, I live in Belgium and went to France (~110km) to buy it, without a contract - 169€. This way I have warranty. For me it was an option.

Good luck

What about sending it from Italy and saying to deliver it to an UK address after repairing it?

I have some friends in the UK

However, Switzerland is not an option because it's not in the EU, maybe Austria, but I can't find it in the yesss website

I know UK is in the EU ;) You were complaining about high shipping rates in case of warranty, so I suggested a closer place to buy it.

You should ask Orange about that.

maybe Austria, but I can't find it in the yesss website

As I already wrote, it's not available right now, but said to be around the end of march.
