How do we solve the problem of wifi

Applying the attached raise-patch01.zip through recovery should solve wifi and power key issues. But i couldn't solve gsensor and compass issues as of yet.

For those missing google apps gapps (gmail, maps, talk etc.) could be downloaded from http://wiki.cyanogen...ion/Google_Apps tiny version for cyanogen mod 6 should work. After applying downloaded zip file through recovery don't forget to fix permissions from recovery->advanced.

you just extract kernel and ramdisk from boot.img and create a new boot image using the kernel and ramdisk contents you want.

I use ubuntu linux for building kernel and boot images.

The tools i use for modifying boot image are unpack-bootimg.pl and repack-bootimg.pl (http://android-dls.c...ck_Boot_Images) and slightly changed mkbootimg (you can build the attached source by: "gcc mkbootimg.c -o mkbootimg"). I also use bootinfo (could be built by: "gcc bootinfo.c -o bootinfo") to find out boot image header info.

Once built i recommend copying these tools to /usr/local/bin for ease of use.

Accelerometer and magnetometer fixed.

Just apply attached raise-patch.zip through recovery.

Elhamdulillah, at last this rom should be fully functional.

Although there are some errors in logcat those are not critical.

Yes i saw that rotating screen to right cause misplaced image. But it might not be kernel related. Anyways there are more pressing issues atm.

I am already using the 2.3.7 raise you posted. Video recording works ok but taking photo crash camera app.

The flash doesn't work and the image seems zoomed.

I already installed the other patches that @curious Mind posted... Is there any other patch to install?

I was working on the gingerbread (2.3.7) harock posted. I managed to make it work with 2.6.35.7 kernel (its original one was 2.6.32, but i couldn't build a working 2.6.32 kernel).

Currently it has many issues. Most problematic ones are:

-Wifi cause phone to freeze -> Even setting WiFi-sleep policy to newer doesn't completely resolve this issue

-GPS cause phone reboot -> a similar issue and a temporary workaround i haven't tested yet could be found at: http://forum.xda-dev...d.php?t=1373183

-Once GPS is used can't turn it off

-As usual Camera flash is not working

-Taking photos may sometimes cause Camera app to freeze, Video recording and preview works ok -> a similar issue could be found at http://forum.xda-dev...911828-p-2.html

I will try to resolve these issues if i have time.

While some of the issues may be originating from rom system files (I can't do anything there: I don't have Android AOSP or CM AOSP and i can't download it either because i don't have enough hard drive space and i am on mobile connection only). I hope someday this rom works without issues.

i've already tried the 2.2 and i'm liking it so far :) only bugs i detect is the camera button don't work.. you need to go to the menu, the camera flash doesn't work too... but to me doesn't matter, the fotograph, before you take a photo the image seems that you are very close from the object. the rest Is amazing =D
