Guest Graham Macleod Posted January 30, 2011 Report Posted January 30, 2011 Hi Anyone know how to set this up as I using exactly the same settings as stock mail but am getting errors such as unable to connect to server(io exception) or stmp errors? Thx No joy here either. Have tried a number of settings but it won't play, saying that there's a network error and asking me to check my connection. Irritatingly it seems impossible to change settings - the 'OK' button isn't there.

Guest pdej Posted January 30, 2011 Report Posted January 30, 2011 Yeah I can get my pop accounts like Hotmail and yahoo working but exchange not playing ball Any ideas? same here. It's strange as the ni calendar app seems able to pick up on it fine.
Guest QLF Posted January 31, 2011 Report Posted January 31, 2011 same here. It's strange as the ni calendar app seems able to pick up on it fine. The NI calendar is likely copying accross from the stock calendar, and not from the exchange server. I didn't setup the NI calendar and it populated itself, (also added about 20 American holidays which was a pain). Hopefully someone will be able to advise the settings after they get this working, as the questions it asks do not map to similar questions on stock exchange mail app.....
Guest gdwhitehouse Posted January 31, 2011 Report Posted January 31, 2011 Is the NI Calendar not an IMAP client rather than a 'proper' ActiveSync one? G
Guest paraffinbrain Posted January 31, 2011 Report Posted January 31, 2011 Hi Anyone know how to set this up as I using exactly the same settings as stock mail but am getting errors such as unable to connect to server(io exception) or stmp errors? Thx Mail'd seems to be a rebranded/tweaked version of k-9 - which I can't get to work either. Can connect OK if I use IMAP with my OWA exchange settings, but can't get Send to work. Something it doesn't like with smtp. The stock email app (which works great) allows an option of accepting all SSL certificates, which might be the difference Advisory K9 settings, good luck: http://code.google.com/p/k9mail/wiki/K9MailAndExchange and the comment at this bottom of the blogpost about the SSL (which while informative, won't cut much ice with our corporate IT): http://codethis.wordpress.com/2011/01/07/a...rt-in-k-9-mail/
