Guest mangeh Posted January 31, 2011 Report Posted January 31, 2011 (edited) My Liquid decided to go bricked for no reason at all yesterday. Today i've been searching for a way to wake it up. Heres the situation: 1. Screen is black, no signs of life except a vibration when pushing the start button 2. I've managed to connect to the phone via pressing Vol up + camera + power and connecting USB, i can then see the device as a "Acer HS-Hub" and Acer Download Tool says "Connected (AMSS)". 3. I tried flashing the device, but when it is supposed to flash Fastboot, it fails. "Fastboot is failed", it says. In the log i can read the following [Fastboot] : [in FastbootDLImage_NewArch03()] : result[inner] is : writing 'touch'... FAILED (remote: failed to update touch app code) [Fastboot] : Fail... result[inner] does not contain OKAY. [Fastboot] : [touch.bin] : Fail... [Fastboot] : In Fastboot_State.Fb_Error_ReDo [Warning] : Fastboot Re-do now... TotalErrorTimes is : 1 4. I can't connect via maelz or fastboot, it just says "waiting for devices", it seems the program can't see my phone. Acer drivers have been reinstalled, i've tried a couple of differens bin's and different versions of download tool, it does not seem to be the problem. ;) Any suggestions? Am i screwed? Guest mangeh Posted January 31, 2011 Report Posted January 31, 2011 will it wake up if you tap the button near the sim card??? No, it just vibrates as if i had rebooted it!
Guest mangeh Posted January 31, 2011 Report Posted January 31, 2011 I managed to flash it via CMD-prompt and fastboot command (fastboot -i 0x0502 flash), but it's still just black. Maybe the screen is broken or it's just super-bricked.
Guest mangeh Posted February 18, 2011 Report Posted February 18, 2011 Got it back from service today with the disappointing message "product oxydized. Out of wararnty. product not repairable." Don't really know what oxidized means, but i guess it'll stay broken then. :D
