My San Francisco keeps turning itself on.

Had it now for a few weeks, but recently when I turn it off with the power off button and select shutdown almost immediately the mobile turns itself on again.

Also when using the mobile, sometimes the Power Options screen suddenly appears as if I had pressed the power button. The button does not seem to be stuck in any way.

Maybe installing a new ROM (2.2) would solve the problem? Or a factory reset? Do backup your apps though.

I've backed up the data, done a wipe/factory reset and then restored all the data back but unfortunately the problem still persists.

When I select the turn off phone option it just restarts again as if it was a reboot option. Even with the case off it still happens.

Also when using the phone sometimes the phone options screen suddenly appears as if I had press the power button.

I've tried clearing the cache as well. May try anoth ROM.

Also check your power button and clean it from dust etc (take back cover off). If this does not solve the problem and also a new ROM, it might be faulty.

Thanks. Installed the Jellyfish FLS9 rom and the problem still occurs, will try a clean.

I could leave it for now if no luck fixing the problem and return it under warranty later.
