Guest exec Posted January 31, 2011 Report Posted January 31, 2011 So I have this very annoying problem with the suspend process which keeps my phone awake, as soon as I turn off the screen the process starts. If I reboot the phone and turn the screen off as soon as it's booted up for 10 minutes I get a Running percentage of ~50%, Screen on at like 0.1% and 1 minute cpu usage from Suspend which is bad for battery life. Here's what I tried to solve the problem:Removing the SD-card cuts suspend usage in approx. half. (Running 30% while screen is at 0.1%) which is what I'm using right now to make the battery last.Putting the phone into airplane-mode removes the process completely. I have also tested that the phone part of the mobile is not the problem (still there when removing sim card), maybe I have to do something more than that to disable the phone part? I suspect that there's something wrong with one of the data connections (wi-fi, bluetooth etc) is there any easy way to remove each function one by one, not just disabling them from the phone. This has been going on both on 2.1 and 2.2 and I also tested on clean install with no extra apps. The following box is a log from when the phone is sleeping. As you can see I'm getting spammed from some usb tethering s***, but I don't know if that's keeping the phone awake. 01-31 18:25:06.819 D/alogcat ( 970): stopping ... 01-31 18:25:06.829 D/alogcat ( 970): stopped 01-31 18:25:06.839 D/alogcat ( 970): starting ... 01-31 18:25:07.009 D/PowerManagerService( 235): acquireWakeLock flags=0xa tag=KEEP_SCREEN_ON_FLAG 01-31 18:25:10.779 D/PowerManagerService( 235): UnPartial wakeLock reactivate ,flags=0xa tag=KEEP_SCREEN_ON_FLAG 01-31 18:25:10.779 D/PowerManagerService( 235): releaseWakeLock flags=0xa tag=KEEP_SCREEN_ON_FLAG 01-31 18:25:12.021 D/WindowManager( 235): I'm tired mEndcallBehavior=0x2 01-31 18:25:12.021 D/PowerManagerService( 235): Go to sleep--> 01-31 18:25:12.021 D/PowerManagerService( 235): setPowerState: mPowerState=0x3 newState=0x0 noChangeLights=false reason=2 01-31 18:25:12.249 E/Sensors ( 235): alsprox sensors_control_activate active=00000022 sensor=00000020 new_sensors=2 changed=20 01-31 18:25:12.279 D/PowerManagerService( 235): acquireWakeLock flags=0x1 tag=sleep_broadcast 01-31 18:25:12.279 D/PowerManagerService( 235): Go to standby ,PARTIAL_WAKE_LOCK tag = sleep_broadcast 01-31 18:25:12.279 D/PowerManagerService( 235): acquireWakeLock flags=0x1 tag=show keyguard 01-31 18:25:12.299 E/Sensors ( 235): alsprox sensors_control_activate active=00000002 sensor=00000002 new_sensors=0 changed=2 01-31 18:25:12.299 E/Sensors ( 235): close_akm, fd=121 01-31 18:25:12.299 E/Sensors ( 235): alsprox close_als, fd=123 01-31 18:25:12.299 D/PowerManagerService( 235): acquireWakeLock flags=0x1 tag=ActivityManager-Sleep 01-31 18:25:12.359 E/Notificaton_HWY( 235): *********updateNotificationPulse updateLightsLocked()************ 01-31 18:25:12.369 E/Notificaton_HWY( 235): *********battery off************ 01-31 18:25:12.369 E/Notificaton_HWY( 235): Number of light notification=0 01-31 18:25:12.369 E/Notificaton_HWY( 235): *********notifiaction off************ 01-31 18:25:12.369 E/Notificaton_HWY( 235): *********mNotificationPulseEnabled =true 01-31 18:25:12.389 D/PowerManagerService( 235): acquireWakeLock flags=0x1 tag=RILJ 01-31 18:25:12.409 D/PowerManagerService( 235): releaseWakeLock flags=0x1 tag=RILJ 01-31 18:25:12.479 D/PowerManagerService( 235): releaseWakeLock flags=0x1 tag=sleep_broadcast 01-31 18:25:12.489 V/alogcat ( 970): save instance 01-31 18:25:12.489 V/alogcat ( 970): paused 01-31 18:25:12.539 D/PowerManagerService( 235): releaseWakeLock flags=0x1 tag=ActivityManager-Sleep 01-31 18:25:12.619 E/Tethering( 235): attempting to remove unknown iface (usb0), ignoring 01-31 18:25:12.849 D/PowerManagerService( 235): releaseWakeLock flags=0x1 tag=show keyguard 01-31 18:25:12.849 D/PowerManagerService( 235): ALL PARTIAL wakeLock Released ! Anyone is free to give suggestion on what I should try next because I'm out of ideas. Thanks.
