Will it do 720p like the guy in the first hand's on video of the vega said?(720p flash content) 3. Will this stupid green download icon vanish eventually and just plain load the content up? 4. Surly it cant just be me who has these flash issues? After about 40mins - 35min on iplayer the sound go's out of sync with the video, some times my vega actually locks up and crashes..... Plzzzzzzzzz reply to this thread if you have any issue's or fix's regarding flash, its the main reason i bought this device, and so far its been ok with flash but just ok i would like it to be a hell of alot stabler and not have to worry about reloading the video for the sound to go back n sync with the video........ PLZ REPLY THIS ISSUE NEEDS FIXED! P.s. Haven't tried R6 + PP + r2 or r3 kernels yet so dont know if they solve this anoying problem....
Guest warriorscot Posted January 31, 2011 Report Posted January 31, 2011 Flash is stable on the vega and there was an update for it recently. The only reason it was removed was because Advent didn't get it certified for the device by adobe but other devices with similar to identical hardware have it officially. You can turn off the green download icons in your browsers settings I think, I did it once but it was such a hassle I put it back to normal as otherwise loading all those flash elements is just consuming extra cycles and mb for nothing. It's also a convenient adblocker after all you can only watch or use one flash element at a time. Haven't had anything happen with Iplayer but I only used it a couple of times. Have you updated to the latest version of flash available.

Even with the latest version of flash, issue is still there. I have tried pretty much everything that is out in terms of mods for the vega and the issue has not been fixed. It didn't work here until i flashed R1.06.05 and full MoDaCo custom ROM addon with PP. Works a treat, regularly watch full football games or 1hr long BBC shows - no issues.
Guest Tainlorn Posted January 31, 2011 Report Posted January 31, 2011 Ive noticed the sound goes out of sync on iplayer too, Dolphin Browser HD seems to be worse for this, happens almosr right away. Stock browser and Miren seem ok, at least to start with, not done a thorough test yet as im still playing with my new toy ;)

Both versions of flash are the same. The latest one that came out a few days ago and the original version that comes with the R6. Just put a show on longer than 35 mins pre recorded and you will see. Live shows I can't comment as I don't watch them on iplayer but pre recorded it still happens. The original version of flash was really bad. I could not even play any c4 shows, it would just freeze. Guest zakblood Posted January 31, 2011 Report Posted January 31, 2011 i havent done anything to my vega tablet as yet, so it's all stock stuff,came with 1.8 already in it, just installed the latest flash files from the net i could find and havent had a problem with it as yet, nothing a miss at all tbh, no lost of sound or lip sync in anything, played stuff over half an hour long plus loads of short clips, as long as you have a quick connection, which i get unless im out and about using other peoples all is fine

Good news is that it works great here tho! ;) lol

At this time i think it could be one of 3 things in regards to who gets the lip sync issue and who dont. 1. iplayer quality is 480p by default i think if not then 360p but quality looks to good to be 360p.(With 480p the tegra 2 will be maid to work harder than playing live streams, live streams are a lower bitrate and lower quality(this is why thouse of you who do not have this issue don't see it i think (unless you have tried iplayer for 1hr or something ovc..) )) 2. Flash/Adobe are being lazy...... in the tegra department..... 3. Who know's mebay a manufacturing defect?(some how i doubt it but, not out of the question!) Thank's for all the reply's hope this issue get's resolved Fast! BTW any one tried html5? on the vega like hd content ect?

And i now am begining to think this issue will persist as i think i has something to do with heat, the vega heats up to some tune when doing vedo play back not hot hot liek laptop burnign your laphot but a lil hot. Just hope they reolv this isse also they said that the vega can do 720p, i dont think so not with flash any way like they said.
