Q: Vega & streaming live tv from Enigma1/2 receivers

A quick one - has anyone tested the Vega/POV towards an Enigma based receiver like Dreambox/VU+? I'm curious how good/bad is the tablet when it comes to receiving & playing SD & HD transport streams.

All the specs i've seen state that the Wifi is a G network. Those max out at around 25Mbits max under optimal circumstances, so HD is a hit/miss i'd think.

With re-encoding the stream in VLC to say h264, the sky is the limit. http://www.tillekesoft.com/ANDR_VPN_SET_UP.pdf and transcode on your pc for optimal enjoyment.

You do know about 'dreamdroid' right? Search in the market, or visiti http://www.reichholf.net/wp/dreamdroid/

Forgot to mention, you'll need both dreamdroid, and vplayer to get the video going.

No joy streaming direct, vPlayer doesnt work on the Vega at all. The closest I have got so far with direct streaming is with dreamdroid and an earlier version of rockplayer when i got audio but no video. Dreamdroid is soon to be updated to use Rockplayer but the later versions of rockplayer dont work on the Vega, I have emailed the rockplayer devs to let them know that it causes a fatal exception error on the vega.

Thanks for the feedback! It's a pity though... ;)
