Guest tomrbland Posted February 1, 2011 Report Posted February 1, 2011 Hi, I don't think this has been covered already, if it has I apologise, I have tried looking. When I boot my Blade in "fastboot mode" (holding the 'up' key) Windows detects new hardware and tries to install its drivers. No matter which set of drivers I point windows at, (all the various drivers that have appeared on this site and on others) Windows looks like it is installing them and then it hits a brick wall. It asks for the file "hwusbadb.sys" I can't find this file anywhere. What am I doing wrong? I'm a bit of a beginner at these things so there is allot of guess work going on. I hope you can help, Thanks for your time, Tom
Guest Posted February 2, 2011 Report Posted February 2, 2011 (edited) Are you trying to install a custom ROM from scratch? The fastboot method is outdated, don't use it. You can do it all from your phone, you just need a computer to copy the ROM to your phone's SD card. No USB drivers are required.
