Couldn't unlock my San Fran after installing JellyFish ROM

I've upgraded my phone to the Froyo 2.2 JellyFish ROM, which is working great.

However I want to come off my Orange PAYG SIM and move over to 3.

I went to the 3 shop with the unlock code already generated. However when the guy in the shop inserted a 3 SIM the phone did not ask for an unlock code.

Does anyone know what might have happened ?

Orange SIM is still working fine.

The Japanese ROM has no simlock.

If the phone works without needing an unlock code why worry? just enjoy it

Also as stated Many times before most of the Froyo (2.2) roms unlock the phone anyway so no code is needed
