Hello, I have rooted my Blade and installed the Jellyfish froyo and would like to transfer video files. I checked the forums and enabled the Blade to receive files and transferred a video file. My PC showed the file as transferred but the Blade won't play it, I have the standard video player, VLC and Mvideo installed but they don't see any video files, what am I doing wrong?

As stated by shanky887614, you are probably trying to play a video format that isnt natively supported by android. You should use software on your pc to convert the video file to h.263 or h.264 baseline video with mp3 or aac audio. I use damnvid portable to convert videos.

The other option is to use a different video player that can handle more video formats, such as moboplayer (available from the market). You might need to allow it to download the extra codecs in order to play the videos.

edit: just realised its quite an old post, never mind

Yeah, check the video formats supported by the android first, and then use some tools to do converting, I usually use Handbrake and Aneesoft to be a combination to do converting for me, so far, works fine for me.

Besides, +1 moboplayer
