Guest boffboff Posted February 2, 2011 Report Posted February 2, 2011 May be old news to some but thought I'd post it for those interested. The event is kicking off at 10 am PST (Isn't that 2pm in real proper time??) GMT +8 for the US isn't it? Live stream available at: youtube.com/android It's 15:23 at the time of this post and nothing on there yet...... Cheers Boff
Guest wipeout140 Posted February 2, 2011 Report Posted February 2, 2011 (edited) I think 10am PST is 6pm GMT, but thanks for the remainder Edited February 2, 2011 by wipeout140
Guest McSpoon Posted February 2, 2011 Report Posted February 2, 2011 (edited) They announced the web-based version of the Android Market; did a quick run-through of Honeycomb and introduced in-application purchases. Now we can finally link to Android Market pages in a web browser. http://market.android.com/details?id=com.modaco.appoftheday Edited February 2, 2011 by McSpoon
Guest rferrett Posted February 2, 2011 Report Posted February 2, 2011 Well annoying in a sense. I am sure we wont get an official Honeycomb rom. Maybe the community and scene will get there eventually but I reckon we will have a long old wait.
Guest zzleezz Posted February 2, 2011 Report Posted February 2, 2011 Got goosebumps! Was trying not to get caught up in the honeycomb hype but that simulcast has blown me away. I don't have reservations regarding honey coming our way yet. Thinking back I've mostly run devs Rome on my android devices. Can't remember not being rooted :-P

Guest rferrett Posted February 2, 2011 Report Posted February 2, 2011 You reckon? I admire your optimism and I hope you are right....
Guest warriorscot Posted February 2, 2011 Report Posted February 2, 2011 It will depend on if they are still making them when its released. If so probably, if they have switched manufacturing to a new or upgraded version maybe not. And shuttle are leaving a lot of the work to the other companies.
Guest boffboff Posted February 3, 2011 Report Posted February 3, 2011 Well I'm still secretly keeping my fingers crossed for Honeycomb on the Vega. (Via official means or not ;o) Typical, I completely missed the event last night due to working late so will have to catch up tonight. Had a quick check on Engadget and they mentioned a new Gmail for tablets that's apparently available 'yesterday'. Anyone shed some light on this?
