unable to bringup clockworkmod recovery

Hi, I'm experiencing problems whilst trying to update the San Francisco rom, I have followed all the instructions from http://orangesanfrancisco.co.uk/android/ho...isco-zte-blade/.

At the section How to choose and install a Rom (page 4 of 4) at sections 2 , 3 I have downloaded The Jellyfish Rom and saved to computer, completed the sections 4,5, at section 6 the instruction have been followed but unfortunately at item 7 the clockworkmod recovery doesn't show, the screen only comes up with a white square with FTM ?

I'm sure that somewhere I have missed something, any help will be appreciated

Try reading some of the guides on here instead of a website that has "some" of the info posted here (a lot taken directly from here)

Thanks Lew, not sure where the best information is to be obtained your link helps, will I need to remove all the files that I have installed?

to be honest I've no idea

I tried reading one of the sites that had "some" info in them ages ago but got completely lost

so I have no idea where your up to in the process.

perhaps someone popping in can tell you

If it was me I'd just follow one of the excellent guides on here, root it, install clockwork, and then update the rom but the choice is yours.

Usually this happens when you haven't installed ClockworkMod Recovery. Boot up your phone as normal and install ClockworMod Recovery. If you have already, install it again and make sure you follow all the steps in the guide, especially the MD5 part.

Then, turn off your phone, remove the battery and replace after a few seconds. Hold down the Volume Down button (continue to hold) and press the power on button. Let go of the Volume down button when you see the white Android text at the bottom.

Also for the lazy after installing clockwork you can install quick boot from marketapp and reboot the device in recovery mode without the need of holding the volume down button.

This is what I call a lazy bu**er ;)
