1.06.5 and mcr6+pp

Hi All,

Have just reflashed from 1.08 back to 1.065 no problems, then loaded mcr6 seemed to load fine but then would not reboot. After the Advent screen it just freezes with WAIT/FORCE CLOSE on screen. Tried rebooting several times and also tried reflashing both 1.065 and mcr6 same problem. Any ideas whats going on or what I am doing wrong.

Please post exactly what steps you are doing, leaving nothing out. You are doing something other than 1.065 + mcr6.

Have you installed any apps?

Thanks for your reply,

I have been using my Vega for weeks with mcr6pp and loving it so much I convinced my friend to buy one, it arrived yesturday running 1.08. I suggested we flash to 1.06.5 as there have been several reports on here that 1.08 was slower and laggy with applied mcr6+pp.

We connected it to my windows PC where I already had ABD installed correctly and checked device manager that it was recognised.

Then..

Power down for 6 second, held back button for 2 seconds, back and power 2 seconds, back 2 seconds. while connected via usb.

Double click Vega 1.06.5 file and it loaded fine, Vega rebooted and we checked 1.06.5 was present.

Next to load mcr6pp..

CMD prompt and using cd\directory install-windows.bat loaded mcr6pp, CMD box showed all the info being loaded without any errors. Disconnected usb and rebooted.

Boot line appered on screen followed by Vega logo and several seconds later black screen with option box FORCE CLOSE or WAIT. The keyboard had frozen so powered down and rebooted, same problem FORCE CLOSE or WAIT.

Not giving up, we repeatd all of the above steps again starting with a new reflash of 1.06.5... same problem.

At this point we reflashed back to 1.08 and it's working fine albeit without Market and Flash.

This was a brand new Vega with nothing loaded. We will try again later but any help would be appreciated.

Sorry i can't help with 1.06 problems, but now your on 1.08 have you tried r7 pre- update i was on 1.06 and have to say 1.08 based rom works really well.
