Navigation forever "Searching for GPS" but 'GPS Status' shows 6/6

hi all, i got a prob with google maps navigation- it's forever showing "searching for gps" even though the 'gps status' app usually shows 5/5 or 6/6 satellites locked. i've reset the gps cache and downloaded uptodate assisted gps and sat around for ten minutes waiting for a good number of satellite lock ons.

i tried to see if i could delete navigation but it's not a separate app.

any ideas?

I have a similar problem. It said "Searching For Location" for a good 5/10 minutes but it did eventually "connect".

Can I ask how you reset and download the assisted GPS data?

Using FLB Froyo G2 ROM.
