Guest skymera Posted February 4, 2011 Report Posted February 4, 2011 there is already a topic for sd cards 2 lines after your post !!!!!!!!! Indeed. However, this window had been open a long time, I just hadn't got round to click "Post". My bad. Whatever mate.
Guest Frankish Posted February 4, 2011 Report Posted February 4, 2011 I for one say thanks for this. I never check these type of threads but the topic caught my eye. Will the price be the same by the time i get paid in a week though? I have a baby on the way and can't just spend the money like. Anyone wanna buy me one? ;)
Guest stanno Posted February 4, 2011 Report Posted February 4, 2011 (edited) Personally I hink it's asking for trouble buying anything that's not listed HERE That was the whole point of starting THIS thread. I also think this thread is totally pointless and unnecessary. Edited February 4, 2011 by stanno
Guest targetbsp Posted February 4, 2011 Report Posted February 4, 2011 (edited) Well I also have to say thank you for this thread. I am in the market for a bigger sd card and was looking at a 8gb class 10 for only a few quid less than this so the topic caught my eye too. Twice for space for a couple of quid more. So not a pointless thread for me. ;) In fact, thanks to those that think it's pointless for bumping it for me. ;) Edited February 4, 2011 by targetbsp

I also think this thread is totally pointless and unnecessary. Right brilliant. However: - The link you provide shows a 16GB Class 10 for £80, not £19.95 - This isn't guaranteed to work, so it can't go in that thread. All i was trying to do was let some fellow Blade owners into the best deal going, but apparently it's being treated like it's a crime. Won't bother again.

I f it doesn't work then it's not the best deal going, is it! If everyone buying a SD card, a case, a cable, etc starts up their own thread then this place will rapidly become not worth reading. Understand?
Guest targetbsp Posted February 4, 2011 Report Posted February 4, 2011 (edited) Looks like this deal was posted on hukd a few days ago and people have already received it and stated that it's a good card. Meets the claimed speeds and capacities. I'm in. ;) @ Stanno: What use is your thread if people don't actually try other cards to update it? ;) Edited February 4, 2011 by targetbsp
Guest skymera Posted February 9, 2011 Report Posted February 9, 2011 Can confirm this card IS working in my Blade. Parititioned fine with Clockwork 3.0.0.5 Here's a quick bench: /dev/sdd: Timing cached reads: 8656 MB in 2.00 seconds = 4331.57 MB/sec Timing buffered disk reads: 50 MB in 3.07 seconds = 16.27 MB/sec
Guest targetbsp Posted February 9, 2011 Report Posted February 9, 2011 Good to know. I didn't bother getting one in the end because a friend of mine who has a Samsung with 8gb of internal storage swapped me his 8gb sd card for my 4 as he doesn't need the space. :P And it benchmarks at an equivalent of Class 9 (if such a class existed lol). But I'll certainly bare this in mind if I manage to fill 8gb :D
Guest ThrashMan Posted February 9, 2011 Report Posted February 9, 2011 There's no guarantee that any micro SD card will work on your SF. My m8 had a Sandisk class 2 16GB that worked so I ordered an identical card from MyMemory.co.uk My SF refused to mount it, so I borrowed his and that work, my brand new one also worked in his SF so we swapped cards. Very lucky for me. Just don't be disapointed if the card doesn't mount or keeps remounting.
Guest Fi5h Posted February 9, 2011 Report Posted February 9, 2011 Just don't be disapointed if the card doesn't mount or keeps remounting. Anyone who buys this card and it does not work is bound to be disappointed regardless of the reason - that's just human nature. I think people just need to realise that's not always as black and white as a card working or not. Just try one and see :P
Guest Xanderwufu Posted February 9, 2011 Report Posted February 9, 2011 Too bad, you can't buy them anymore :P
Guest Lee Black Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 I can confirm the following SD Card works on my San Fran JJ9 :P Item : Play.com 16GB Micro SDHC Memory Card / Class 4 Price : GBP 15.49
Guest Nandroid Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 It's a pity that Play won't go to the trouble of posting them to Europe. :P
Guest idolmaster Posted February 18, 2011 Report Posted February 18, 2011 Well, I got this Low Price Memory 16GB Micro-SD Card Class 10 today (took 8 days to Germany) and tested it 3 times with H2testw. First in my PC cardreader using the includes SD adapter, and then twice in my ZTE Blade connected via USB to my PC. All tests gave similar results: http://img207.imageshack.us/img207/1325/result1l.jpg Writing 15240 MByte 42:23 min 5.99 MByte/s Verifying 15240 MByte 16:39 min 15.3 MByte/s Test finished without errors. You can now delete the test files *.h2w or verify them again. Writing speed: 5.99 MByte/s Reading speed: 15.3 MByte/s H2testw v1.4 My PC still runs on WinXP SP3, although fast enough for Win7. I'll try the same test with a newer version of H2testw on a faster machine running Win7 64bit this weekend and give you guys a heads-up if the results differ. Right now, I can't see where this card is "class 10" at all. Did anyone actually get "a write speed above 11mb/s" with this card, as claimed by the seller?
