Guest ninzor Posted February 5, 2011 Report Posted February 5, 2011 On my stock rom it loaded the Youtube app when I launched a video from the browser. Now with Jellyfish RLS9 it just gives me the "Sorry, this video cannot be played" error.I doubt this issue is rom specific though... How can I fix this?

Guest Arr Too Posted February 5, 2011 Report Posted February 5, 2011 It's been mentioned loads of times before, but it's related to the User-Agent string that the browser gives to a site (and how that site reacts). If you edit build.prop to say the Android version is 2.1 (or 2.1_update1) instead of 2.2 then web sites hand over to the native video player properly. I think it's got something to do with the common misconception that 2.2 == Flash support, which of course it doesn't on phones like the Blade using Arm6 CPUs.

It's safe to change it and nothing else will be affected? Edit:I did it and nothing changed. Edited February 5, 2011 by ninzor

Guest ninzor Posted February 5, 2011 Report Posted February 5, 2011 (edited) Did you reboot the phone? I edited the build.prop of the rom and re-flashed with it. E: Maybe I edited the wrong line? I changed: ro.build.version.release=2.2 to: ro.build.version.release=2.1_update1 ... And it even said so in Settings > About Phone E2:Does this have anything to do with stagefright? Guest Kurdt Kobain Posted February 6, 2011 Report Posted February 6, 2011 Is it possible to watch You Tube videos, or any other site that streams media player vids, via Skyfire? I used to be able to watch vids via Skyfire on my 5800 but can't seem to do it on my SF except for the mobile version of TV Catchup.

Skyfire does work but when you're on a site with 10 videos(a blog or such) you can pretty much only see one. so change it to 2.1 if this doesn't work no one can help you Gonna give it a shot. E:It works!I'd like to thank you all very much! Edited February 6, 2011 by ninzor
