Android IM notification feature when someone comes online?

Hi, wonder if someone out there can help me...

On Google Talk for Blackberry there is a nicelittle feature that means I can set up an alert for when a friend comes online. I dont have to wait for them to IM me for me to know they are there, or keep checking my phone all the time.

Is there an IM app out for Android (I have a San Fran if that makes a difference?) that offers that simple functionality? It has to work on either Google Chat or MSN.

Thanks in advance, I'm tearing what lirttle remaining hair I have out, reading reviews that don't say, downloading apps only to find they cant do what I want!
