Guest racersnare21 Posted February 6, 2011 Report Posted February 6, 2011 Im trying to go from at&t 1.6 to steves 1.6.1. Most people have been saying to go though 1.5.1 first so thats what im trying to do. Ive put the 1.5.1 zip on my sd, went through clockwork recovery and choose to install the zip from sd. Everything went through and it said everyhing had loaded ok. I restarted the phone and it was on the dell logo for about 20 min. Someone else had said to do a factory reset so i did and now im on my second boot attempt going on almost 30min and still nothing. Did I miss something here? Should I try re-flashing 1.5.1? If I cant get it to boot how do I go back to stock 1.6

Guest racersnare21 Posted February 6, 2011 Report Posted February 6, 2011 (edited) Try jumping to 170 and factory reset from the first recovery screen (4option screen) I ended up getting it working after using the QDL tool. Now that im up and running with 1.5 I should be able to go up to 1.6.1 or 1.7 using clockwork recovery correct? Im also not real clear on the baseban, does this need to be changed to go to newer updates? Not sure how to go about doing that if its needed. Also why has my 3G icon been replaced with an H?
