cant back up phone

can anyone help i want to back up my phone i have installed the programs on the pc when i connect my phone and it syncronises it says attention needed what does that mean? also when i try to back up phone in the options at the top of the window i cant highlight the backup option have i installed it correctly. when i back up phone will it save all software or just the contacts and things

Attention needed implies you've a conflict. This could happen if you editted a contact's phone number on the PC and the phone and then synched. ActiveSync doesn't know which one to keep. Look at ActiveSync on your PC and see if there are any messages there.

You can't do a full backup of the SPV (but you can on other Windows CE devices, which is why the option is there). You can only synch e-mails, contacts, calender and tasks.

so what if i was to do a full restore on the phone would i loose all the programs that i have bought when it is restored back to the out of the box phone.the reason i am asking is i want to unlock the phone and i am worried that if i make a mistake and need to reboot the phone i havent got copies of the software on my pc as i bought them using the internet on the phone
