This thread is to get an idea of how many ZTE v9 tablet devices & ZTE Joe (VodaPhone 945) devices are out there.

Sebastian 404 has already started on Clockwork for the ZTE v9 Tablet - a thread exists here

http://android.modaco.com/content/other/32.../zte-v9-tablet/

Some ZTE Joe Thread are also appearing in the Other section of Modaco

http://android.modaco.com/content/other/33...ne-945-zte-joe/

However soon a new forum may be needed for these devices.

well that answers the flash question, why does that otherwise lower spec thing get a much better camera damn them?!±

That ZTE Joe is quite an ugly looking fella, however the ZTE V9 :P I hope the next ZTE Blade will be a miniature version of the Z9.

Those specs are incorrect:

Even weirder that site doesn't even say what CPU is in the device.

OOO, that does look nice..

I've managed to arrange getting my hands on a V9 next week at MWC being shipped over from Austrialia for me.. I wonder when they will start selling the 2nd device... and was also interested in mention of the ZTE Light LTE, nice to see ZTE supporting LTE ...

if only ZTE could get some design tips they could take over the world :P

$AUS 269 (£169)

None are stating whether it is the new (1GHz) or old (600 MHz) model. Sounds a bit like the OLED vs TFT confusion all over again.

The device is beautiful, something I wouldn't expect from ZTE. Good video review. Just imagine if it had a tablet OS, such as Gingerbread.

If only ZTE made a smaller, phone version. HTC, Samsung etc would s*** their pants.

The video in this post is of the ZTE V9 MyTab from Optus. It is not the "Light 2" The title of the video is a little mis-leading, it just means it's the second part of of his unboxing in Vietnamese (the other mis-leading part is that it's an English title for a Vietnamese spoken video... :/ )

Xin loi. Toi khong hieu tieng Viet. :P

Anyway, i would like a V9 Forum because basically the other phone listed here isnt available in Australia, and have you ever tried to search the forums for "zte V9" just keeps comming up... "search string not long enough." That is kind of annoying..

cheers! :D

The ones on sale here in Australia via Optus and their resellers are the standard rebadged V9's. I own one, my wife owns one, i have bought one for my parents. Trust me, they are all the same. They are all 600mhz, resistive display, 800x480(or there abouts) displays. This thing that gets my goat is that it could be so much better this tablet. a market slayer at this price if only they would update the operating system, crank the CPU up to 768mhz and not release anything else until they get this one right. Because like every other company, as soon as they release a new variant on something, the old one gets shoved in a box in the corner.

Good part is, if they release the upgraded light, chances are it will make it easier to port over 2.2 :P that part i like.

+1 for a zte v9 forum. i am currently working on froyo and would love a place to show it off :P our ONE thread is becoming quite cramped.

The thread is also ALWAYS like this basically 24/7.

How many users will be needed to have a dedicated thread in Vodafone 945 or V9?

Can't believe I missed this thread the first time around :D

I..Want..That..Tablet!

Seriously, that's ideal for how I use my "Phone", use my blue tooth stereo "music" thing to make calls and enjoy a 1ghz tablet :P

So, 25 for both...

with V9 and the V9 mk2 being pushed at MWC I'd expect to see more users coming this way soon...
