Dropped phone, no display, digitizer working, Cant find any other damage.

Sadly my very first thread here is about my broken phone. :D

I dropped my ZTE Blade a couple of hours ago on the floor face down. Ever since then I'm not getting any display..

Although the digitizer is working, every time I touch the display where the unlock and silent button are, the phone vibrates. There are no cracks or any other kind of damage on the display.

I disassembled the phone to see if there's any damage inside, but couldn't find any, except for a slight dent on the left side on copper colored thing on the back of the oled display (2nd Pic).

But I can see a very similar dent here also - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=895937 , so I guess that not the problem.

I'm puzzled as to what causing the no-display if the screen is intact :P

Anyway I can still save my display? or should I start looking for a replacement?

I would say some kind of shock damage to the cable or connections of the ribbon - see top of screen on this image

I would gently press on that ribbon while trying to boot

Didn't work :P

Will take it to a mobile repair shop and see if they can fix.

Have a look at the last few replies on this thread - this seems to be a solution to what seems to be an increasing problem with SF displays and digitizers.

The digitizer's fine. the display is one not working.

The mobile repair shop couldn't help either. And since this phone isn't available locally yet, I'm unable to find a replacement display.

Are replacement display's available for ZTE Blade in the UK or elsewhere?

Unless my eyes are deceiving me, I can see damage to the lcd ribbon at the top right corner of the display.
