Upgrading Front Facing Camera

So, a couple days ago I had to take apart my dell streak to replace the lcd that had cracked while playing in the snow. Anyway, during the disassemble process, it occurred to me that the front facing camera was probably upgradeable. The ifixit teardown suggests the cameras are similar to those on the iphone 4.

Any ideas on whether the streak firmware could handle a camera upgrade?

I'd be more interested in upgrading the back camera!
