I900 Camera cover scratched

Hello,

My I900 is now round 2 years old and camera's cover is scratched with things we carry in our

pockets and by holding phone when calling/smsing.

I have a screen protector on the front main display but never though to put a peace of

screen protector on rear camera cover... Who did ?

Did anyone have a clue to replace cover plastic squarre with red circle

(cfr att) or tinker a new one ?

First you could try on of those screen, or cd's polishing agents, and second, you could order the hole cassing for the omnia from ebay, it is, quite cheap.

search ebay for i900 housing. most ship with CHASSIS WITH CAMERA LENS

workarounded :

Removed sim and battery,

Removed I900 back

unlocked camera lens protector

on thecamera lens protector, removed sqare with red circle by pressing from inside side. Removed glue traces

Using screen protector film, cut a band larger than lens protector piece.

remounted lens protector on I900 back,

remounted I900 back

With tape, fixed film protector over lens protector

Installed sim and battery again

mounted back I900 back cover

Works like a charm at no cost. If scratched 2 min to swap.
