Hi What are the updates in this kernel? At what clockspeed it's running? SD cards working or errors when waking up the phone? Regards
Guest spulon Posted April 15, 2011 Report Posted April 15, 2011 Hi What are the updates in this kernel? At what clockspeed it's running? SD cards working or errors when waking up the phone? Regards I use it since vache released it on his tweeter ( about 1 month now ) and I had only 1 time the sdcard issue ( I have a 16Go class 6 ) Cheers, Stéph.
Guest astuermer Posted April 15, 2011 Report Posted April 15, 2011 (edited) do you think it's possible, to get two zip files with flashable kernels? 1. the original and untouched kernel from the latest 1.100.35 rom 2. the kernel from 1.100.35 rom overclockable with default 906 or 936mhz thanks! I use it since vache released it on his tweeter ( about 1 month now ) and I had only 1 time the sdcard issue ( I have a 16Go class 6 ) I have a Kingston 8GB Class 6 and had 3 or 4 sdcard issues a day - but not with Vache's kernel :) The last one deleted my sdcard completely - thank god I had a backup :) Edited April 15, 2011 by astuermer

Flash script does not allow user interaction/choice, i never see this. Maybe it's possible but i dunno how. P.S : if you post here, no need to send the same thing in PM... Sorry, corrected my post :) My misspelling *grin* I meant, two zip files - in each a kernel to flash - one has the original one, the other the modified with higher clock rates. Sorry I ask, but I have no idea how to manipulate a kernel - or even make a kernel flashable via zip?! PS: Yeah... sent message first and tought it would be better to share with the others aroudn here :) Edited April 15, 2011 by astuermer

PS: Yeah... sent message first and tought it would be better to share with the others aroudn here :) You just have to overwrite the boot.img in the zip file, nothing related to the kernel itself. You can take exemple on this one : http://localhostr.com/download/zeXgf31/boot-test.zip
Guest astuermer Posted April 15, 2011 Report Posted April 15, 2011 (edited) Thanks! :) ...and how can I change the boot.img to have the original one from 1.100.35? I mean, where can I get the boot.img from the latest ROM - Acer only offers a all-in-one setup :) ...and how can I change the clockspeed? I've absolutely no idea - can you help a rookie like me? Update: Tried replacing the boot.img with the one from Nandroid (it's twice the size) When trying to flash: Missing file... Verification failed. Edited April 15, 2011 by astuermer
