Guest mrbloggs Posted February 7, 2011 Report Posted February 7, 2011 just found this open up the orange browser on your phone, press menu then bookmarks, click on help and costs, then PAYG Dolphin/Facebook FAQs. Until you receive a message off orange saying your dolphin package has started, you are limited to 50MB, go over that and its 4 pounds per MB as of 30 September 2009. The 2 pound limit max per day has to be applied for through your account on Orange World, dunno if thats after you've been notified of your package start. Also, Orange will not notify you when you go over your limit so as I understand it, if you go over your limits before the dolphin package is started, and you go to a site like say techradar.com, just downloaded their homepage, and its 118 items = 1.9MB, you are being charged 4 pound plus just to view one web page. Can someone else access this page and confirm

Guest HypnoPig Posted February 7, 2011 Report Posted February 7, 2011 It's low data caps and constant paranoia of breaking them that caused me to go to GiffGaff. £10 a month gets you: 150 mins (250 mins offer until march) Unlimited texts Unlimited data (truly unlimited - I have heard of people using 20Gb in one month with no problems) That's before you consider their crazily amazing payback system - I have actually earned money by being on a GiffGaff SIM. You are given payback points at the end of each month for using their forums to help members. With only 60 posts in my first month I qualified for £22 worth of payback. Sadly it's only redeemable in May, but I'm patient! I accessed that same webpage and yes, you are correct - 1.9Mb = £4. When will operators realise that any modern mobile is designed for constant internet connection?
Guest That-Guy Posted February 7, 2011 Report Posted February 7, 2011 Just switch to giffgaff and port your number to them too :P Saves all the buggering about :D
