Guest AndyJWS Posted February 7, 2011 Report Posted February 7, 2011 Apologies if this has been raised already, I couldn't find anything when searching! I've just bought a San Francisco, and am having a play around before starting on the ROMs. One thing I've noticed is that when the camera focusses, it makes an audible clicking/popping noise - is this normal or does it mean something is wrong with the seating of the camera or something? Previous phone was a Nokia 5530 which doesn't seem make a noise - just a little nervous as don't want to change ROM if it's going to have to go back!
Guest That-Guy Posted February 7, 2011 Report Posted February 7, 2011 Yeah happens on mine, think its been discussed before too :P

Don't know about muting the sound, as it's more of a physical movement that causes the click. You can disable autofocus tho... this will stop the click, but may affect the sharpness of your pictures... ;-)
Guest Simon O Posted February 8, 2011 Report Posted February 8, 2011 Yes, theres a tiny little motor that controls the autofocus. It's this you can hear.
