Guest ztedd Posted February 8, 2011 Report Posted February 8, 2011 (edited) hey, I was just updating my guide (how to get more free memory), adding something. I pressed the send button and then - in the edited post all text is lost! So apparently if the post request is too large, it somehow gets truncated to zero :P But what's the reason? It's a problem of this modaco website, you can try it by yourself. Just post some text that is bigger than ~22 KB. Edited February 15, 2011 by ztedd
Guest ztedd Posted February 8, 2011 Report Posted February 8, 2011 update: the "magical borderline" seems to be at 22 KB.
Guest ztedd Posted February 8, 2011 Report Posted February 8, 2011 update: posting the large text on my mail website worked, so it seems to be specifical related to the modaco forum. however I didn't try it on my pc yet.

Guest ztedd Posted February 15, 2011 Report Posted February 15, 2011 This is strange enough, but now it gets even more: The size limit seems to have changed from ~22 KB to ~21 KB. Weird...
Guest Azurren Posted February 15, 2011 Report Posted February 15, 2011 I could go into specifics and get really techy but I won't :D Best way to do it would be to either to post the guide in several different posts, Use an image of the text instead or link to an external website where the full guide is located. I personally would split the guide over multiple posts in a row (So you may have to re-make the guide thread) The size limit is probably due to SQL quotas or perhaps anti flood. Needless to say there has to be a limit and you found it :D
Guest ztedd Posted February 15, 2011 Report Posted February 15, 2011 No problem in the future but I can't do it in the existing thread...
