Guest khamees79 Posted February 8, 2011 Report Posted February 8, 2011 Hello Can somebody port Android 2.2 Liquid E to A1. It's the arabic version on acer.ae http://goo.gl/OvXTw Thanks
Guest khamees79 Posted February 8, 2011 Report Posted February 8, 2011 I'm not sure if it supports Arabic, in description it does not mention AR. Any idea
Guest HustlinDaily Posted February 8, 2011 Report Posted February 8, 2011 That is 4.002.14.EMEA.GEN1. You can find it here- http://android.modaco.com/content/acer-liq...act-collection/ (look for 4.002.14.EMEA.GEN1 for Liquid 256) I do not think it has Arabic but you can test it out. To install, use Dario's guide here- http://android.modaco.com/content/acer-liq...-acer-liquid-e/ If anything goes wrong, check this out- http://android.modaco.com/content/acer-liq...-please-sticky/ Also once installed, it will load into Acer UI. If you don't like that, Settings-->Applications-->User Interface-->Acer UI.
Guest khamees79 Posted February 8, 2011 Report Posted February 8, 2011 Thanks Hustlin I have the very same ROM on my phone, but unfortunately it can not read Arabic. I tested even with CaynogenMOD 7, still not working.
Guest malez Posted February 8, 2011 Report Posted February 8, 2011 Thanks Hustlin I have the very same ROM on my phone, but unfortunately it can not read Arabic. I tested even with CaynogenMOD 7, still not working. I really hope to see arabic support in android. That was frequently asked to google. In LCR if have only managed to display arabic caracters (enable additional fonts in LCR Settings) but they are not linked each other, so hard to read.
Guest khamees79 Posted February 9, 2011 Report Posted February 9, 2011 I really wish they can do that. I rarely use Arabic, but with the events in Egypt, I really want to read Arabic news.

Use a browser called "persian browser"..it is available on market (wait till it finishes loading the page)
Guest HustlinDaily Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 (edited) According to the other thread on market AND according to Acer's website- http://www.acer.ae/ac/en/AE/content/drivers (EN/FR/AR where I am assuming that AR is Arabic). The Eclair BIN File, 1.100.92.EMEA.CUS4 has Arabic support http://hotfile.com/dl/89638729/4c85b1c/1.1..._A_bin.zip.html Sadly, there is no FroYo bin released for this region. Hope that works. Lol, just realized that market thread was your thread. Well, I'll keep this post for somebody else who is looking for it. Glad to see you found it, hopefully you fix your market problem. Thanks Hustlin, You have been of a great help. I appreciate that. Yes indeed this is the one I have now. Market is missing from it, so we could figure it in the other thread.
