Guest Dark Man X Posted February 8, 2011 Report Posted February 8, 2011 Is there a way to access my NAS, that i can stream my mp3s? I found this app: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=756158 but it doesnt work for me, i got this error "No such device". A: Your current kernel or rom lacks the necessary CIFS support. so is it a kernel problem or do i something wrong? any other ideas to get it working?
Guest Salsaholic Posted February 8, 2011 Report Posted February 8, 2011 Not sure how much this is Blade related, but well... Try 2player, it provides DLNA / UPnP streaming and remote control of clients. In my case it kept stopping playback on the Blade after a few songs, but controlling a Noxon device works nicely. In addition, ES Explorer provides access to network drives, even without CIFS support in your kernel. Not sure if this helps in you case...
Guest IronDoc Posted February 8, 2011 Report Posted February 8, 2011 (edited) ES Explorer provides access to network drives, even without CIFS support in your kernel. Not sure if this helps in you case... Does it mount them somewhere or is it just in-app access? If it mounts, you could symlink it to /sdcard/music or something. What ROM are you on? I remember people requesting support for CIFS on Japanese Jelly but I can't remember if it was added. Edited February 8, 2011 by IronDoc
Guest ThrashMan Posted February 8, 2011 Report Posted February 8, 2011 (edited) Try AndroMote, it's a DLNA client. Edited February 8, 2011 by ThrashMan
Guest Dildano Posted June 8, 2011 Report Posted June 8, 2011 If you really want SMB rather than DLNA, Astro has an SMB add in free on the Market, works a treat on my blade.
