peeling back button desire

Not sure how many people have had this problem, though thankfully HTC responded to my email query about within 2 mins! They have offered to have my phone picked up and repaired at their service centre. I had googled the problem and found some posts on other forums where people had bought from carphonewarehouse and had been told it was cosmetic damage and not warranty, hence why i asked HTC directly.

IN case you are unaware of the issue, the metallic finish on the back arrow button can just lift off the button

well, phone gets picked up wednesday. anyone have an idea on HTC repair turnaround time?

Yup .. mine was peeling back .. has been ever since I got it... Cant take it back now... :huh:

Now it's rom'ed to hell and back .. don't want to be with out my baby for two weeks!!!!!!!

Hehe, I remembered I saw this thread when I was going home back from work so I looked closely at my Desire and the back button is also a little bit peeled off :) :huh: It must happened today or the day before, cause I'm sure I would have noticed... The build quality of some HTC phones seems pretty mediocre to me, too bad Nokia sided with MS, they know how to build a phone (on the hardware side).

well my desire was away 6 days including the weekend. Warranty repair so cost nothing. worth it to be honest if you ask me. :huh:
