Guest scoobydoo99 Posted February 9, 2011 Report Posted February 9, 2011 I downloaded a recent version of music junk (yes I know) from the market - given it's dubious legal standing, it quickly disappeared from the market - again.. It still opens fine on my phone as an app, it doesn't appear on 'my apps' on the market, but I can't find the apk file anywhere on my phone. I'm using Astro file mgr (hidden files enabled), and searching for apk files doesn't find it, and it's not in the app folder. It's got me stumped this one - there must be an apk file somewhere for it before it still functions ok? Any thoughts?
Guest Sebastian404 Posted February 9, 2011 Report Posted February 9, 2011 It should be in /data/app/ or /data/app-private tho more likely the first one if you really want to keep it, do a backup of your device :P
Guest Magnets Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 (edited) In Astro just go menu->tools>"app backup". It places it in /sdcard/apps/backup or /sdcard/backup (can't remember which). It can be easier than hunting down the APK since some apps have different package names. Guest Lew247 Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 Another way is using Android Commander, click Applications Manager, find the application you want a copy of, tick the box beside it then click Backup
