Guest Mr E Mann Posted February 9, 2011 Report Posted February 9, 2011 Has anyone come across a media player that will handle screen rotations? the stock one doesn't, and all google gives me is a lot of noise and nothing concrete I have one of those cases with the drop-down leg, and with the vega in it, when I rest it on the leg, it's upside down. No problem with most things, but annoyingly I cannot sit it like that and play back any video Any suggestions people? Thanks Simon
Guest warriorscot Posted February 9, 2011 Report Posted February 9, 2011 Best player for audio is poweramp and the best for video other than the stock is probably rockplayer. Apparently the guys at Core are going to release an android player soon that will play everything to a much higher standard than is possible at the moment but they are taking there time with it.
Guest Mr E Mann Posted February 9, 2011 Report Posted February 9, 2011 Does RockPlayer rotate for you? Doesn't seem to do so for me?
Guest warriorscot Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 Honestly can't remember, I know one does and that was the only one I used for any length of time other than the stock. It could have been the other weird chinese one it was like wuizhi player or something like that but I honestly can't remember the exact name just that it was good and all in chinese.

Thanks Simon The ES movie player that came with es file browser is identicle to the stock except that it rotates.
Guest tdroza Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 I use Cubed on my SanFran and it supports screen rotation. Haven't tried it on my Vega to see whether it works full screen, but if it does it's got a pretty sweet UI - the screenshots don't do it justice as it doesn't look/sound like the navigation should work well, but when you use it, it's actually very good. https://market.android.com/details?id=org.a...ckon.rockonnggl
Guest surly cat Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 mVideoPlayer is an excellent app that supports rotation. I've been using the Pro version as my default video player for months (after trying several others) and can highly recommend it. Here's a link to the free version: http://www.appbrain.com/app/mvideoplayer/a...nt.mVideoPlayer
