Guest BK2FUT Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 Just got my desire, but it's not recognising any avi/divx files I put on the card. My £100 LG Optimus played divx out of the box am I missing something obvious here?
Guest tatey2457 Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 Desire does't play these files out of the box, you'll need a video player app from the market
Guest dreamdealer Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 (edited) As Tatey2457 says out of the box no. HTC never included it. Download Arc Media Player should solve your problem, it also plays .MKV as well.. I use it and is defently worth a look. Edited February 10, 2011 by dreamdealer
Guest BK2FUT Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 Damn, that sucks. Thanks for the replies guys, much obliged. :P

Computer Says No. The Market web link says it's not compatible with my Desire, and sure enough, when I search for it on the phone, it doesn't appear in the Market. It does install fine on my Vega, though.
Guest InsaneNutter Posted February 11, 2011 Report Posted February 11, 2011 Try RockPlayer - https://market.android.com/details?id=com.r...id.unified.lite I can play xvid / divx perfectly on my desire with that, I think if you dont buy the pro version however you get some annoying red logo on the screen.

Guest bpivk Posted February 12, 2011 Report Posted February 12, 2011 Vital player is free so you can try that.
Guest grentuu Posted February 12, 2011 Report Posted February 12, 2011 search for arcmedia all one word.
Guest BK2FUT Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 search for arcmedia all one word. Cheers, works great. Vids are a little compressed/pixelated, but they run well and all in-sync.
