My PC can see the files on my SD card, but Astro can't (Solved)

It's only a few weeks ago that I bought and (eventually) flashed a San Fran/Blade with help from the folks on this forum. Now my son has the same phone, but the forum guide to flashing has introduced a new system which involves moving four files to the SD card and installing them via the Astro File Manager download. I've got to the point where I have mounted the SD card and copied the files across, but when I launch Astro and open the SD card it shows the directory is empty. I'm stumped. I've deleted and recopied, remounted the card, etc, but to no avail. Any suggestions gratefully received.

i assume you haven't tried to access the files with the sdcard mounted in pc ??

Initially I did, but quickly realised I should disconnect the USB. I tried a reboot and even downloaded the ReScan app, all to no avail. Anyway, in the end I gave up and followed the guide on the new(ish) OrangeSanFrancisco site. It ends up with an install via the Clockwork mod, but it skirted around the drag and drop issue. I'm glad to report it's up and running now and it even prompted me to update from RLS7 to RLS9 on my own phone.

Not really 'solved', more 'avoided'.

if you do in fact want to used the SD while mounted on the pc and access the files on the blade at the same time, you can use multi mount sd-card on the market.
