Guest jtc42 Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 Hi all, posting this on behalf of my girlfriend, who has a SF running Froyo (MCR at the moment, but has been running JJ and FLB in attempts to fix this.) Basically, no data connection can be made at all. Attempting to enable mobile data brings up a message something like Connection Cannot Be Established or something like that, and makes no attempt at all to connect. Heres the weird bit, data is DEFINITELY enabled on her plan, we have tried this on several ROMs, fully wiping between each, and I have checked the Access Point information time and time again and nothing seems to work. I'm stumped. Does anyone have any bright ideas? Thanks all.

Guest jtc42 Posted February 13, 2011 Report Posted February 13, 2011 Okay update, it's not a hardware issue. My T-Mobile SIM works perfectly in her phone, similarly putting her SIM in my phone still has no data connection. I have tried various APN settings, and none of them seem to make any attempt to connect. WiFi is off, data is on, but no data icon ever shows up, and no connection is made. Her online account shows her data allowance, so it's clearly on her account. It's getting a bit worrying and annoying now too, so any ideas are still very much appreciated.
Guest Simon O Posted February 13, 2011 Report Posted February 13, 2011 There is definitely something up with the account. Give @orangehelpers a message on Twitter and they should be able to find out and get it sorted. If not then restore the original rom to the phone using the backups that Sebastian provided and take the phone to an orange store. Once they see the data isn't working they will more than likely sort it out. Two phones and the sim isn't enabling data on either is pretty odd and really can only be an account problem.
