Connecting DSi using Blade as wifi hotspot

As the title suggests, I'm interested, well my girlfriend is, in connecting her dsi to wifi using the blade. I don't want to keep changing my home netgear routers security from wpa to open just so my gf can play tetris with other players around the globe :P

I'm using jj rs9 on my blade and have set the unit so can act as an open wifi hotspot, the dsi see's it but keeps on getting error message when the console goes through it's connection test.

Has anyone tried the above? If you have been successful in doing so can anyone share some light on how they did it.

Oh btw, new on here and would just like to say amazing job you all do, definitely much happier with my purchase of the blade since rooting, flashing etc........ :D  :P

Are you using the stock Froyo Wifi tether? That should work :P

I can connect my PsP, that isn't as bad as the DS but is still a pain

But if you want to use it for gaming I wouldn't recommend it, average pings go well into the 300ms mark. I'm unsure how DS games would handle high pings, could be with disconnects or it may work perfectly

I havent tried a DS on Android, but they were notoriously hard to connect to ad-hoc wifi connections. Apparently the DSi is better..

If its any help, I managed to connect my Kindle (again, rather pickey).

For 2.2 Android its basically in Wireless & Network settings, then Tethering... Then use protable Wifi hotspot. For testing, dont bother with wep keys, but obviously, if it works, then set it up properly.

Thanks guys, the DSi still sees the connection but drops during the test. Appreciate your comments but I'm not going to lose any sleep over trying to crack this, not for my GF wanting to play tetris online!!! :P
