Guest rvdgeer Posted February 11, 2011 Report Posted February 11, 2011 (edited) Point of View updated the official firmware for the tablet to version 1.09! Here's the official changelog: Version: V1.09 Update Version : BSP version (10.9.7) Added: Flash version (20101210_v10.1.120.10_release_signed) Added: touch panel utility BSP = Board Support Package Have no time to try it soon, so please feel free to and please report back here... You can download it here. Update: What the BSP is about, I don't know, so I can't tell if it's something big (or not)... The official flash is version 10.1.120, as the name suggests... (Will attach it to this post if possible...) The touch panel utility is the Screen calibration app... Looks like this update isn't that interesting after all... :Pflashplayer_release_signed.zip Edited February 11, 2011 by rvdgeer

Guest rvdgeer Posted February 11, 2011 Report Posted February 11, 2011 AdventVega about to release their new firmware with Flash too. Hahah! When I found the update on PoV's 'drivers' site, I immediately went to the MyAdventVega site to check over there, but found nothing... Just saw their tweet about the update too...
Translated in english The current keyboard case on our website is currently only supported for our 10-inch non Tegra tablet. We have already asked the engineers to find a solution for this to work. If achieved, this will be through a firmware update online. if this fails, there will later this year a keyboard protection case for the Tegra devices. just now we wait :P i cannot test it because i just flashed r8
Guest RielN Posted February 13, 2011 Report Posted February 13, 2011 (edited) Any tips how to flash it with Linux? Could I move the img files in the .exe archive just flash with adb shell? Like: ./adb-linux shell /data/mcr/flash_image boot boot.img for all img? I don't know if partition sizes are the same, the installer seems to make new ones: [device] type=nand instance=0 [partition] name=BCT id=2 type=boot_config_table allocation_policy=sequential filesystem_type=basic size=3145728 file_system_attribute=0 partition_attribute=0 allocation_attribute=8 percent_reserved=0 [partition] name=PT id=3 type=partition_table allocation_policy=sequential filesystem_type=basic size=4096 file_system_attribute=0 partition_attribute=0 allocation_attribute=8 percent_reserved=0 [partition] name=EBT id=4 type=bootloader allocation_policy=sequential filesystem_type=basic size=2097152 file_system_attribute=0 partition_attribute=0 allocation_attribute=8 percent_reserved=0 filename=bootloader.bin [partition] name=MSC id=5 type=data allocation_policy=sequential filesystem_type=yaffs2 size=2097152 file_system_attribute=0 partition_attribute=0 allocation_attribute=0x10 percent_reserved=0 [partition] name=SOS id=6 type=data allocation_policy=sequential filesystem_type=basic size=5242880 file_system_attribute=0 partition_attribute=0 allocation_attribute=8 percent_reserved=0 filename=recovery.img [partition] name=LNX id=7 type=data allocation_policy=sequential filesystem_type=basic size=8388608 file_system_attribute=0 partition_attribute=0 allocation_attribute=8 percent_reserved=0 filename=boot.img [partition] name=APP id=8 type=data allocation_policy=sequential filesystem_type=yaffs2 size=155337600 file_system_attribute=0 partition_attribute=0 allocation_attribute=0x10 percent_reserved=0 filename=system.img [partition] name=CAC id=9 type=data allocation_policy=sequential filesystem_type=yaffs2 size=33554432 file_system_attribute=0 partition_attribute=0 allocation_attribute=0x10 percent_reserved=0 [partition] name=USP id=10 type=data allocation_policy=sequential filesystem_type=yaffs2 size=4194304 file_system_attribute=0 partition_attribute=0 allocation_attribute=8 percent_reserved=0 [partition] name=UDA id=11 type=data allocation_policy=sequential filesystem_type=yaffs2 size=0xFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF file_system_attribute=0 partition_attribute=0 allocation_attribute=0x10 percent_reserved=0 filename=userdata.img Edited February 13, 2011 by RielN

Guest nickwarn Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 Is it not possible to connect this firmware to pc? I flashed it and rooted it with Visionary and then i wanted to put Clockwork recovery on it so i check usb debugging and insert usb cable the POV mobii doesnt recognize that a cable been inserted, no message in statusbar, no sound from computer. So i restart my tablet and try again, same thing. So i flash Advent firmware and it works. Is it supposed to be like this?

The POV-Kernel is in USB-Host-mode so yes it should be like this, the Advent-Kernel is in Slave-mode. The USB-mode-switcher does nothing else than flashing each time another Kernel and reboot the device, there is currently no Kernel that supports USB-Host and USB-Slave at the same time.
Guest Winterzorg Posted March 20, 2011 Report Posted March 20, 2011 Help me please! I have POV. Tegra 10'' Mobii. I tried to put an android market fix to the tablet. The tablet go to restart, than black screen and dont do anything! :D Pls help me! What can i do now? :( My warranty was gone?? Pls help me! :( I did this: "I copied the zip file to a MicroSD card and inserted the SD card into the tablet. Make sure NOT to extract the files and install the .apk files manually, this wont work. It is also not necessary to root the device! Just put the downloaded zip on the MicroSD card. Once the ZIP is on the MicroSD card and the card is inserted into the table, go the to the device Settings and then select to the Software Tool. Select the Software Update option and point to the market_update0.zip file. The device will now reboot and apply the software update. After the reboot you have a working Market." http://www.oudmaijer.com/2010/12/12/androi...bii-101-tablet/ But it didnt work! :D Help me pls!

Get the ether 1.09 again or the 1.10 (Even tho i did try the orginal_ganjaman's 1.09 pov marked zip and was not able to run it on the 1.10 so did end up installing the vega 1.09 and a custom addon after) You can always reinstall the rom in the nvidia apx mode even tho you cant boot the os.
