Guest v1nsai Posted February 11, 2011 Report Posted February 11, 2011 (edited) My inner sd is badword. It would be easy to fix, but I bought this less than 4 months ago, that's just way too much warranty to throw away. SOOO now I need to downgrade to AT&T 1.6. I've tried doing this before using homeiss's guide, but was never able to get from O2 1.6 to AT&T 1.6. I can read and follow directions, and I'm pretty sure I'm not an idiot so I dunno why but I figure if I can flash the correct baseband, recovery and then Update.pkg, what could prevent that from working other than total and complete failure :-D Anyone got an amss.mbn for att 1.6 laying around? ALTERNATIVELY Anyone know if flashing the official Dell 2.2 rom would void warranty? Edited February 11, 2011 by v1nsai
Guest v1nsai Posted February 13, 2011 Report Posted February 13, 2011 I figured out what was keeping me from being able to dowmngrade o2 1.6 to att 1.6. The system.zip referenced in homeiss guide had some scripts and executables that were not marked executable. I used chmod +x on the. Sh and applypatch file and downgraded no problem. Phone is off to dell now. Hope this helps someone I have been using linux a long time and was going crazy tryingto figure it out.
