Guest tomthered Posted February 11, 2011 Report Posted February 11, 2011 Hi guys am new here but have been reading the forums for ages. Have just got my new SF and have unlocked it. Not rooted it yet or put a modded rom on, just kept stock for now. I have a quick question if you all can help with. Having unlocked the phone I am using my Vodafone Sim in it. However I don't have internet enabled and have logged into my router at home via WiFi. My question is if I log in via the WiFi will i actually use Vodafones network and incur data charges. Quick answer would be appreciated please guys. I am sure I will be calling on you for more advice at some point as I am new to Android and never used it before. :P cheers
Guest kerryokeefe Posted February 11, 2011 Report Posted February 11, 2011 tomthered. Simple answer NO. I am on O2. When I use router at home via Wi fi my O2 data allowance is unaffected. Who is your ISP? You effectively use the internet connection that your router provides and not Vodaphone. Hope this helps

Guest tomthered Posted February 11, 2011 Report Posted February 11, 2011 cheers to both of you for the quick response
