Guest mark astill Posted February 11, 2011 Report Posted February 11, 2011 Hi, Hope someone can help. I have successfully updated to r4 and r6, but had encountered problems when I tried to update r7. I managed to download and push the update, but when the vega rebooted, it never got passed the 'booting....' stage and the screen is only backlit, but no further. I tried to recover to the advent vega recovery drivers, but the drivers wont install. When I try to run the v1.09 Vega image restore, I get the following message : C:\Users\MARKAS~1\AppData\Local\Temp>nvflash.exe --bct H5PS1G83EFR-S6C_V24_0625. bct --setbct --bl bootloader.bin --configfile flash.cfg --odmdata 0x0b0c0075 --c reate --go Nvflash started USB device not foundPress enter to continue: USB is connected nad I have tried the back 2 secs / power 2 secs / back 2 secs, but can't get that to work either. get messgae saying drivers have not installed correctly ? any way round this or do I need to take back to PC World ? Any assistance would be appreciated, as I tried many options in the last 2/3 days & don't seem to be making much progress.
Guest swollox Posted February 15, 2011 Report Posted February 15, 2011 make sure the ac power lead is in (and charge light blinking) before trying the recovery keypress sequence if you get it right you'll hear the ding-dong noise of "usb connected" on yr pc. it should appear in device manager as "apx" and then "nvidia boot recovery" yr vega will have black screen still. you are then in recovery and you should be able to flash a stock image (it has to be stock i think).
