Wi-Fi Sleep Policy

On my old LG Optimus (Android 2.1), you could set the wi-fi sleep policy to "When the screen turns off."

It was great, I could leave the wi-fi on pretty much all the time, and it would only become active if I was near a recognised hotspot and the screen was on.

On my Desire, that option is missing, there's only 15 mins, Never, etc.

I'm not sure if it's because this phone is a HTC, or because it's Android 2.2, but I really miss that option.

Is there any way of getting it back on the Desire?

Thanks!

Go to Settings > Wireless and Networks > Wi-Fi Settings.

There, press the menu button on the phone and go to "Advanced".

You'll find the option for WiFi sleep policy there.

Thanks; I found the options, I was wondering if there's a way to add the "Sleep when screen turns off" functionality that I had on older Android devices.
