Guest BK2FUT Posted February 12, 2011 Report Posted February 12, 2011 On my old LG Optimus (Android 2.1), you could set the wi-fi sleep policy to "When the screen turns off." It was great, I could leave the wi-fi on pretty much all the time, and it would only become active if I was near a recognised hotspot and the screen was on. On my Desire, that option is missing, there's only 15 mins, Never, etc. I'm not sure if it's because this phone is a HTC, or because it's Android 2.2, but I really miss that option. Is there any way of getting it back on the Desire? Thanks! :P
Guest subhramani Posted February 12, 2011 Report Posted February 12, 2011 Go to Settings > Wireless and Networks > Wi-Fi Settings. There, press the menu button on the phone and go to "Advanced". You'll find the option for WiFi sleep policy there.
Guest BK2FUT Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 Thanks; I found the options, I was wondering if there's a way to add the "Sleep when screen turns off" functionality that I had on older Android devices.
