Yes, but it isn't a simple thing to do. There is quite a lot that the average person would have to learn. I was able to learn how to do it in a few weekends, so I know others could too. It took a lot of patience and a lot of searching in this forum and on other websites before I had the basic understanding of what to do. Then there were a lot of attempts to do it before I got it right. And, this many months later, I can't even remember what I did! :D But eventually I got the Tre rom working:

Some of the last pages of this thread also discuss some issues we ran into trying to get things to work:

Do some searching for "rom kitchen" over at XDA. That will save you a lot of time and work.

But, yeah, it's not a simple thing to do for us "normal" people.

Incidentally, is this a problem with all the Pulse's sold in your country? You really can't make use of any of the modified roms? Plenty of people have been using the HU 2.1 rom as a base for installing all sorts of modified roms. Just curious.

This guide in Hungarian worked for me for rooting: http://androidarena.hu/2010/09/rbm2-rootolas/

(only You have to put the phone to recovery mode first, and connect to pc after - in guide order is wrong )

After that You can check Link2SD, for mooving programs to SD card.

Is Your phone T-Mobile or Telenor (RBM2) ?

0o that's why it doesn't work for you. You can't install it without installing it...

Try this:

Here is the fix for Huawei phones from author,

Copy "/system/etc/install_recovery.sh" file into "/system/bin" directory and rename it to "flash_image". You can do these operations easyly with "root explorer".

Then reboot.

Now it works fine!

What you need:

•root permission.

•ext2 partition on your SD card. 2 partitions set up, first FAT32 (or FAT16) and second ext2, both are primary.

•move & rename file (pulse)

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=919326 < take a look if you have any more probs
