Guest ivanjs16 Posted February 13, 2011 Report Posted February 13, 2011 Good day to everyone I just wanna ask if HTC will be able to know if my phone is rooted this is a summary of what happened to my phone and what I did 1. my phone keeps on restarting(was rooted) 2. thought it was just a rom problem so i flashed a different rom 3. still getting same error 4. i did the RUU but at the final stage i got the error 110 5. my phone was stuck with htc logo and 4 warning signs 6. let my phone rest for a day and charged it for 2 hours 7. runned the RUU again and it was completed 8. after completing the RUU installation my phone restarted by itself and was stuck on the HTC logo with white background 9. reseated the battery and let it rest for a few minutes 10. now i can access the bootloader 11. tried to do a hard reset but i still get boot loops. 12. when pressing on the vol - and power button i do have 4 options *fastboot *recovery *clear storage *simlock now i just want to confirm if my phone is already unrooted?.. because i need to take it to the htc center to have it repaired. since i think that the cause of the boot loops is a hardware problem.. Thanks in advance
Guest ivanjs16 Posted February 13, 2011 Report Posted February 13, 2011 update: i can now open my phone successfully after letting it rest for 30 minutes here are the software information fimrware version 2.1-update1 baseband version 32.36.00.28U_4.06.00.02_2 kernel version 2.6.29-b7e82785 htc-kernel@and18-2 #1 build number 1.19.707.6 CL164549 release keys software number 1.19.707.6 Browser version webkit 3.1 if you guys need more information to verify if the phone is still rooted please do tell me.. need to send it for repair :P
Guest EddyOS Posted February 13, 2011 Report Posted February 13, 2011 If you boot into recovery it should go to the HTC one and not the custom one. If so, you're unrooted and back to stock
Guest ivanjs16 Posted February 13, 2011 Report Posted February 13, 2011 when i try to go to recovery i get a picture of htc desire laid down with a 2 green arrows one pointing up and one pointing down. they are on circular form
Guest EddyOS Posted February 13, 2011 Report Posted February 13, 2011 If you're on the stock recovery it should load to a screen with a red exclamation mark and when you hold volume up and press power it should give you a menu in blue writing
Guest ivanjs16 Posted February 13, 2011 Report Posted February 13, 2011 thanks a lot!! just tried it again now and yah i just saw what you just said. hopefully i would be able to return it in our service center in the ph for the motherboard replacement :P thanks again!!
