Ok, so I've been looking through the various featured apps threads on here but they all tend to focus on the freebies... I'm now on GiffGaff BUT with my phone came an Orange sim card, which has £10 credit and "unlimited" internet, basically I just want to blow the credit on it to kit out my phone a bit then cut up the sim card never to be used again.

Any games/apps WHICH ARE NOT FREE I should download? I created this thread because I'm using the ZTE Blade and don't want to download things the processor can't handle.

Cheers guys :D

You may wish to consider using the credit with http://betnow.co.uk/ as that uses mobile credit, rather then the standard credit/debit card

just went to buy something and you can only buy using your credit card!?!?! i thought you would be able to pay for stuff using your phone's credit balance too?? that's how you used to buy stuff on non-smart phones! how bloody lame.

How about Charity? Allot of charities allow you to text a number which will take so much of your credit :D

Go on it will make you feel all warm inside :D

I read Orange you can transfer to other Orange users on PAYG if you know any.

T-Mob you can't apparently so I just made a bet on Betnow. No indication as to how I get any winnings out as it'll be less than £15 - may need to bet again - but we'll see. Better than leaving it unused.

I have never bought apps with the Android Market. The reason is because I don't want to give my credit card details to too many places... too many online vendors have it already, so I have to draw a line somewhere. Hell, I'm gonna have to give it to Giffgaff when my Orange credit runs out...

When I came to Android I saw that the Market is a bit more shambolic than the iTunes app store. Say what you like about Apple being restrictive, but it keeps their app store professional and safe. Android is filled with crap that wouldn't pass Apple's quality control, with seemingly no strict rule for how to pay. Some app developers direct you to their Paypal, some want to be paid through the Android Market, etc

Is the original poster right or wrong about being able to pay through your phone credit? I thought it would be an option, but I haven't tried it. I too would like to use up my Orange credit doing this. But if it's not possible...

The market uses google checkout you realise? Google are the only people that get your credit card.

I bought 2 both with £10 credit and had it transferred to my daughters Orange PAYG, took a bit of explaining but then again that was down to the muppets on the other end of the phone not understanding I didn't need the credit due to having a contract with them. Well at least she's happy now.

I (not totally seriously) considered this! Just to see what it's like! But no. Porn has a nasty way of coming back to haunt you :D

orange wednesdays!! keep the credit and use it up 35p at a time when you go to the cinema. :-) it will probably last you years like but hey, you only need to go twice to make your money back.

Why not stick the orange sim in an old phone and stick it in your car glove box as an emergency phone, the san fran isnt exactly famed for its battery so it may come in handy if your car breaks down.

I wouldn’t cut the sim card up, what happens if orange do an OTA update to 2.2 and you need to be on Orange still to get it?
